Aaron Brzezinski, MA, LLPC
I received a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Western Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. As a mental health counselor, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. In my prior work as an inpatient mental health technician, I have served adults in crisis experiencing psychosis, severe depression, and addiction.
My approach combines relational psychodynamic and behavioral theories. My goal is to help individuals increase values-based behavior to find meaning in life and strengthen their relationships with others. Techniques from motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) allow me to tailor treatment to suit clients’ goals. My clients and I have applied this approach to such challenges as depression, anxiety, grief/loss, PTSD, ADHD, and spiritual/religious distress.
