Rachel Carlson, LLMSW
As a clinician, I believe in approaching the whole person as part of the healing journey. I have over nine years of experience working with people with various disabilities. I meet my clients where they are and incorporate the strength-based approach when assisting them with identifying and working toward their goals. I offer in-person and telehealth services for individuals, couples, and groups. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Spring Arbor University in November 2020 and my Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work at Spring Arbor University in September 2022.
My specialties include career counseling, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-esteem, stress management, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. The techniques I have experience utilizing are; Strength-Based, Trauma-focused, Mindfulness-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Humanistic approaches. I work with adults, older adults, and teens.
