Therapeutic Recreation
Origami offers several different clinical and recreational group therapy opportunities for clients deemed clinically appropriate by their physician and/or treatment team.
Clinically focused groups focus on education, peer support, and evidence-based curriculums connected to individual treatment goals.
Therapeutic recreation groups use meaningful, functional, and satisfying interventions/activities to address client goals. Clients in the Residential Program and Day Treatment are encouraged to participate in a variety of therapeutic recreational groups and individual offerings. The group sessions incorporate skills and strategies learned in therapy into healthy leisure opportunities. This may include community reintegration, accessibility to past leisure and recreation pursuits, learning a new identified leisure experience, and more.
